The day before Valentine's day,
2008, I did a painting of the ocean stretched out before a young
lady standing by the bluff at sunrise, looking up to the sky,
beaming, her eyes sparkling, her hands stretched up to this
wonderful God who loves her so, and whom she adores. She is singing
from a song that says, "Take my hand, take my whole life
through, for I can't help falling in love with You." (from a
song Elvis Presley sang). In my spirit I sense that the whole
painting is full of musical notes. Each of the bird is a note. Even
the Torrey pine tree is singing, so are the Monarch butterflies, the
hummingbirds on the branches, the tall grass in the wind, the little
rabbit on the rock, the waves and the dolphins - each
emits a sound, a song of adoration and praise to Him. The
young lady is the warrior bride of Christ, who represent God's
people everywhere, in all circumstances, good and bad, taking a
minute or two to breathe out a song, to love on Him who is so
faithful and so true. Psalm 63:4-5 says, " And in your
name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied with
the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise
you."

| Item 1
Orchid - Invitation to His Garden
In the spring of l993, I saw a vision of a
high walled garden and knew that I was entering the garden. The
verse the Lord gave was, "Awake, north wind, and come, south
wind! Blow on my garden, that its fragrance may spread
abroad." (Song of Songs 4:16)
|
Item 2
Roses - Divine Romance
I was sorely wounded in my spirit from
childhood and could not paint for 16 years. In l993, the Lord called
me to be "a court painter, painting for the King." Thus
started a process of healing through my art. The first paintings
that the Lord called me to paint were roses. The verse was,
"His banner over me is love." (Song of Songs 2:4b)
|
Item 3
Sunflower - The Joy of the Lord
While praying, the Lord gave
me a vision of
a heart with a stout pipeline to heaven. The interpretation was,
"I am going to pipe the oil of joy into the body of Christ."
The Lord called me to paint sunflowers in the summer of l993 and the verse was, "Anointing you with the oil of
joy." (Psalm 145:7bKJ) In October of 2002, as the
timing for this prophetic painting drew near, I received
permission from the Lord to apply gold
dots as drops of oil coming forth from the sunflower seeds.

 |
| Item 4
Horse - Boldness
Fear bound me so tightly all
my life until
l994 when the Lord called me to paint a horse. The verse the Lord
gave was, "He laughs at fear, afraid of nothing." (Job
39:22a) Thus began a journey for me step by step out of fear and into freedom.
This is the season that He is emboldening the church to be
the "He-laughs-at-fear" horse.
|
Item 5
Acacia Tree -
Healing of Nations
In the summer of l994 the Lord called
me to
paint the acacia tree. It was while dotting the leaves with yellow
paint that prayers for the nations broke out of me and did not abate
until the last dot of the yellow leaf was painted. The verse
the Lord gave was, "The leaves of the tree are for the
healing of the nations." (Rev. 22:2b)
|
Item 6
Lion - God's sovereignty
The Lord called me to paint a lion in l995
when fear of bankruptcy engulfed my family. He gave me Rev.5:5a
to accompany the painting, "See, the Lion of the tribe of
Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed." The painting is
a word to the church that He is reclaiming the land and
taking back what the enemy has stolen from His people.
|
 |
 |
 |
| Item 7
Wild Bird - Provision
In l995, a little bird was sent to visit
my husband Peter when
he was about to lose his business. The message
the bird gave was, "Look at the birds in the air, they
neither sow nor reap, nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly
Father feeds them. Are you not of much more value than
they?"(Matt.6:26)
This true story in its complete
form is on the Wild Bird note cards and the prints.
|
Item 8
Flame Tree - Holy Passion
The Lord commissioned me to paint the flame
tree in the fall of l995 as a call to radical abandonment to Jesus. He
purposed to use this painting to declare a season of cleansing and
purging of the body of Christ in order to bring His bride into a
relationship of cleaving to Him. The verse the Lord gave was,
"For the Lord your God is a consuming fire."
(Deuteronomy 4:24)
|
Item 9
Butterfly - Identity/Rest
In January of l996, the Lord gave
me two visions
simultaneously. They were "the eagle" and
"the butterfly." The message the Lord gave for the
butterfly was ,"Be who you are in Jesus Christ and step into
your destiny. Come out of the cocoon and be a beautiful
butterfly." The verse the Lord gave was, "No eye has
seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has
prepared for those who love Him." (I Corinthians 2:9)

10
Eagle - Destiny
The verse the Lord gave for the eagle painting
was, "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength,
they will soar like wings of eagles." (Isaiah 40:31a) Through
the painting He was saying, "Eagles! Fly off into your
destiny. Be all that you are. Enjoy your God-given gifting.
Claim them. Fight for them. Step into them. Eagles! Arise!"

Item
11
Warrior Bride - Sent-Out One
The church, the warrior bride of Christ, is
the anointed prophet, intercessor, healer, artist, among other
callings and gifting. She has emerged from the Song of Songs
garden, where she has been soaking in His love. Now she is
being sent out. The verse the Lord gave was, "And who knows
whether you have not attained royalty for such a time as
this." (Esther 4:14) ( the vision of the
warrior bride was given to me in l996)
|
Item
12
Tidal Wave - Revival and Youth
This painting came in two segments: the tidal
wave over the world came in l996 to speak of revival. The verse
the Lord gave was in Joel 2:28, "For it shall come to pass
afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh."
In 2000, the Lord released the revelation of the the wild horses
as youth into the
painting, to signal that they, like wild horses, would "catch
the scent of battle from afar, the shout of commanders and the
battle cry" and run with passion for Him. See Job.
39:25.

13
Mountain of God -
Song of the Overcomer
The painting is a call to climb His mountain
all to the way to the top where there is no one else but God, to
sing the song of the overcomer: "...they overcame him by
the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their
testimony..."(See Rev. 12:11). The word the Lord gave
with the painting was, "On this mountain the Lord Almighty
will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples..." (See
Isaiah 25:6-8) (The Lord
called me to paint it in the spring of l999.)

Item
14
Cluster of Grapes -
The Call to Oneness
The Lord called me to paint the cluster of
grapes in October of l999 to depict His prayer to the Father for
His bride, "...that they may be one as we are on."
(John 17:11b) He is saying that when the body of Christ is
like a cluster of grapes, so plump and juicy, with each grape
being whole and sweet, not sour, then He will come and take the
first crop, to make them into wine, and it shall be the New
Wine.

Torrey Pine (A) -
My Heart, His Dwelling Place
Two paintings came in 2000 at the onset of
Lent. He called me to paint an old torrey pine tree that
stood overlooking the Pacific Ocean. One was the front view; the
other the back view of the tree. The first painting, the front, is
so full of life and beauty, as inviting as one's home and
sanctuary. The verse the Lord gave was in John 14:23b,
"My father will love him, and we will come to him, and make
our home with him."
|

16
Torrey Pine (B) -
The Agony of Christ
The second painting is of the windblown back
side of the same tree. The Lord opened my eyes one day to see
that the tree depicted the agony of Christ on the cross 2000 years
ago. He is saying, "Yes, my Son's agony and death paid for
what you have with Me now - the lovely home We have made in your
heart. My Son paid for it all. You have the right to the abundant
life. Receive it." The verse the Lord gave was, "And
by His stripes we are healed." (Isaiah 53:5b)
|
Item
17
Tree by the River -
Higher and Deeper
The Lord called me to paint a tree planted
by the river in June of 2001 while I was on the stage with
musicians and dancers. It is a call to His people to go
deeper and higher into Him. We are to be rooted and established in
love and intimacy with Him and to be rid of the bitter root of
judgment with each other. (see Ephesians 3:17-19). Then the
tree will grow tall and strong (Psalms 1:3) and the leaves
will be for the healing of the nations. (Rev. 22:2) |
Item
18
Waterfall and Eagle -
Release into Destiny
The next night after the painting of
the tree by the river the Lord called me to paint a waterfall
and an eagle taking off. The Lord is saying, "Eagle, you have
long been waiting and watching on a bare branch. When the tree
begins to bud with new growth, and the waterfall turns golden with
My glory, you know it is time to fly off into your destiny."
He is declaring Isaiah 60:1 over the church, His bride, "Arise!
Shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is upon
you."
|
 |
The painting of the horse running along the shoreline
in a red sunset is a call to prophetic intercessors to
arise and protect the borders in this pivotal "red
alert" time. May their "hoof beats"
be heard and their voices rise up in praise of Him,
proclaiming the goodness and mercy of the Lord! The
verse for the painting is:: ""Mercy
triumphs over judgment." (James 2:13). The painting-word came in
June 2002. |

The
Lord of breaking through calls us into the season of
breakthrough. We are to pray breakthrough prayers -
for healing, miracles, harvest, provision. II Samuel 5:20
(AMP) tells us,
"The
Lord has broken through my enemies before me, like the
bursting out of great waters." In October of 2002, the Lord showed
me a
picture of my being inside the breakthrough horse as He
began to soar over my obstacles. I learned that it was
He who was the breakthrough horse, not me. All I must do was to abide in Him and He would break through
my enemies before me. In December of 2002 I knew
that I had received my long awaited for
breakthrough. It was in the fullness of that knowledge
that I painted the

In this
critical time of the army of God rising up to bring in the
harvest, the Lord is giving an important word to those who
are called to be leaders "for such a time as
this." (Esther 4:14) The word He is speaking is
servanthood leadership. John 13:3-5 says,
"Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under
his power, and that he had come from God and was returning
to God; so he got up...wrapped a towel around his
waist...poured water into a basin and began to wash his
disciples feet...". Likewise we serve knowing
He gives us the power and authority to do so; we know we
are the beloved in Him and He is the source for all our
needs to be that servant and leader. In 2000 the
Lord called me to paint a torrey pine tree by the Pacific
Ocean to portray the agony of Christ on the cross.
In 2002 He called me to paint a basin and towel at the
base of this tree to portray the kind of servanthood He is
asking the leaders of His army to embrace in their hearts.

Army) |

Just days before the
catastrophic fire of Southern California at the end of
October, 2003, a word from the Lord came forth that
He would turn California into a breakthrough horse running
towards the east, declaring, "Mercy triumphs over judgment."
(James 2:13) The horse is painted as emerging from
fire and ashes, kicking the past off and moving forward
into great light and glory, bringing an anointing for
breakthrough to the nation. (This is a collaborative work
of Jean with intercessor Lisa Newmeyer) |

In March,
2004, the Lord called me to paint a soaring eagle as a word
to the praying president and to the praying church. The verse is from Jeremiah 33:3, Call to me and I
will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things
you do not know. The Lord wants to give the praying
president an encounter with Him in the secret place and
carry him up high on His wings (Exodus 19:4). He is
asking the praying church to be the thermal wind that lifts
him up with our prayers. Not only that, but He is also
calling each of us to come be intimate with Him. Intimacy
with Him is the source from which everything will come -
peace, joy, power and authority, wisdom, guidance, safety.
He is saying to the church, the bride of Christ, "Arise,
come, my darling; my beautiful one, come with me (Song of
Songs 2:13b). Eagles, arise! |

On May 28, 2004,
the Lord called me to paint three peonies. In "dancing" with the bamboo
brush on rice paper, painting the many layers of petals upon petals,
I found myself singing the words "the manifold blessing of God"
until the painting was done. The flowers are singing of the goodness
of the Lord to counter "hope deferred makes the heart sick"
(Proverbs 13:12). With the verse from Song of Songs 2:12,
"Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come,"
the Lord is ushering us into the season of praise. It is a
strange painting-word to come at this time when darkness looms over
the earth, and the threat of terrorism is very real. Yet there
is a beat, a step, a rhythm, a song that Heaven is sending down to
us, and we are to move in sync with it, for it is a mighty weapon
of praise that will counter the assignment of death. |

In September 11, 2004,
the Lord called me to be with the New York City Intercessors at
their 24-hour prayer event to
receive this painting-word for the leaders of the nations, and for
each of us. He longs to pick us up - prime minister,
ambassadors, you and me - and put us on His lap to comfort us, that
we may be enfolded in His voluminous white gown, pressing ourselves
deeper, yet deeper into Him, learning to rest in His care. He
is saying to us, "Come be a little child in My lap. I hold your
world in My hand. I know your world - I was in your past world
and I will be in your future world. Let Me tell you unsearchable
things you do not know. Remember, I have overcome your world."
I saw a picture of myself as a child inside an adult size armor, and
I felt the Lord say to me, "You are a warrior child." He is calling
us all to be the warrior child. The painting is also a prophetic
word for the season coming in when children will rise up as a mighty
army. The verses are: Psalm 131:2 and
Isaiah 11:6b |

The Lord gave me a new healing painting-word
on October 19, 2004. Even as I was painting, I felt the call to pray
for those whose minds have been broken through trauma and torture,
and who have been crying out to the Lord to be made whole again.
There is such compassion in the Lord's heart for these broken
people. He is saying to them, "Be of good cheer! I hold your world
in My hand. I was there in your past world and I will be there in
your future world. Nothing can separate Me from you. Come be a
little child in My lap. Let me tell you unsearchable things you do
not know. I have paid for everything you went through. You can
release them to Me. Forgive those who have tormented you and forgive
yourself. At every level of your healing, you have the right to
enjoy intimacy with Me and you have the right to be an overcomer.
Hebrews 10: 19 - 23 and Romans 8: 28 - 39 are yours." The verse for this painting-word is: "the sun of righteousness
will rise with healing with its wings. And you will go out and leap
like calves released from the stall." (Malachi 4:2)

The Lord gave me the scriptures in
Numbers 10: 9 - 10, "When you go into battle in your own
land against an enemy who is oppressing you, sound a blast on the
trumpets. Then you will be remembered by the Lord your God and
rescued from your enemies. Also, at your times of rejoicing, you are
to sound the trumpets, and they will be a memorial for you before
your God. I am the Lord your God."
On the morning of February 15,
2005, I stood on the bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and with
my cupped hands and lips, "blew the trumpet" several times
to ask God to come to my rescue as I battled with my enemy - cancer.
My painting of the Amaryllis Charisma, which
reminds me of three angels trumpeting, is a declaration of the
faithfulness of God, who is Jehovah Rapha - the God who heals.

Who is this coming out of the
wilderness leaning upon her beloved? (Song of Songs 8:5)
In March,2006, the Lord called me to paint a
picture of the season the church is entering into. He is walking His
bride out of the wilderness into a place of abundance and strength
in Him. When I see how the Beloved has His hand on her face as
they gaze at each other, my heart knows His love to a greater degree
than even before. The painting shows the way
out of the wilderness for each of us. Our wilderness can be a
gripping and crippling fear of death going through cancer or heart
attack, or the pain of losing a loved one through divorce or
sickness, or the pain of abuse, shame, rejection, loneliness or
addiction. The good news is that Jesus is in the
picture. We do not have to pull ourselves up by the boot strap
to get out of our wilderness. He, knowing our weaknesses,
enters into the wilderness and practically carries us out of that
place, when we invite Him to do so. Please read Isaiah 35.

"Multitudes, multitudes in
the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the
valley of decision."(Joel 3:14)
This is the most spiritually
complex painting I was called to do for the Lord which took two
months for the revelation to be complete ( March to April
of 2006). The painting tells of the battle for the minds and hearts
of multitudes in the valley of decision who do not see the true
"face" of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and thus
are attracted and addicted to that tree. Many faces of evil show up
as ink blots in the tree, yet at the top of this tree there appears
an clear ink blot of Jesus with His arm up declaring that He is head
over all power and principalities (see Colossians 1). I was led to paint
the Tree of Life as Christ on a tree calling out to one and all to
come and drink of the living water and to receive healing (see Gen.3:19 and Rev. 22:1-2). In the cloud over the
mountain of God are faces which depict the cloud of witnesses who
have sowed seeds in years past and who urge us to bring in the
harvest and finish the race.(Heb.12:1). We see a bearded Jesus
showing up as The Witness among the cloud of witnesses. The painting came as a word
of encouragement for the students who are prayer warriors on the
campuses across the U.S. In March of 2007 the Lord uses three paintings-words
- "Valley of Decision ", "Out of the Wilderness" and "The
Soaring Eagle" to call the praying church to urgently
pray for the President to be as an eagle flying high to hear the
voice of God "for such a time as this" (Esther 4:14) for
his own destiny and that of our nation.

There is eleven years
difference between the first tidal wave, painted in 1996, and this
one, painted in August of 2007. The first one seemed to hover
high over the earth waiting for God's people to learn to be one as
the Godhead is One. This second tidal wave seems imminent over
the earth. In fact, He calls us to take authority to call down
the tidal wave of revival. He has seen the tears of countless
many, heard their prayers, especially the youth, crying out for
revival to come to our nation and the nations. He is mindful
of those who are weary and burned out and is asking us
to pray them back into strength, joy and authority so as to
take their rightful places.
The heart of God is also perceived
in the colors that show up in this tidal wave. I loaded the
brush with watercolors and executed the tidal wave in a few
brushstrokes, in minutes. I am surprised by the colors that
emerged - unearthly hues. Through the colors I am sensing Who
He is for us - He loves us exceedingly beyond our comprehension. In
spite of our weakness He is proud of all that we have achieved
in obedience to His call upon all our lives. The bride of
Christ is indeed rising up "for such a time as this"
(Esther 4:14) and He is saying, "And it shall come to pass
afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh."
